As the Church, we journey with people throughout their lives, from birth to death. For Christians, death is part of life’s journey. Christ’s resurrection proclaims victory over eternal death, and proclaims the promise of eternal life. As with all the seminal moments in our lives, it is important to ritualize and mark death as part of the grieving process.
When death unfolds, St. Bartholomew’s seeks to be a source of support for the dying and for family and friends. For those who have never had to plan a funeral, it can feel overwhelming. Know that you are not alone, and help is available.
Please reach out to the clergy as soon as possible. We will be glad to pray with you and work with you to plan a funeral or memorial service for yourself or for your loved one.
